I fell asleep earlier watching this (it was entertaining, I just have a new puppy which keeps me from sleeping lately) and I ended up having a dream where I was on murder island. The dream didn't end well, but it prompted me to decide to try the game.

After finishing the download on Steam my first game I made it in the top 40 and I was fully loaded with a shotgun, assault rifle, body armor, motorcycle helmet and was ready to gun some dudes down. I was in a jeep driving around for about 5 minutes and felt pretty confident I could take someone out in a firefight with my armor and shotgun at close range. I followed someone else in a dune buggy slowly into a town and he got out of his car and was running away from me when I shifted into town, did a 180 and pressed F to eject myself out of the car with my shotgun in hand.

My first encounter with a person in murder island I killed myself by getting out of a vehicle at too high of a speed and learned a very valuable lesson this day. Slow down vehicles before getting out! Now it makes sense how Jeff killed himself with his own car...and I also am having a hard time parsing how the controls can be so bad in this game.

Yes. I don't think I could ever get tired of footage of this game on this site.

I would love for the next "This is the Run" to be winning a team game.
Whether it'd be just Vinny and Dan or a team up with the West crew, I'd just really want to see it, it'd be doable, if a little bit luck based.

Edit: Didn't want to say this but.... Brad is the weak link of the group. Excluding Alex cause he hasn't played the game much.

I'm bad at it but I love it.

If this becomes the Hitman of GB this year (hours and hours of content), I'm fine with that.

Most hyped GB feature for me for a good while. Not at all disappointed!

Watching that moment live when Dan saved Jeff was great.

About halfway though and is Jeff's screen pretty dark? I was having a hard time seeing the items on the ground. Love the fact they are running around in a car 15 minutes after the initial drop and are surprised there are houses with dudes holed up in them.

1:40:50 for the whole exchange where Dan saves Jeff's life like a badass.

Couple things I noticed around that moment: someone goes on a rampage with a UMP, and Dan missed the first shot on the last guy.

If the GB crew is having fun and wants to get better, watch the Kingsmen and Sacriel's crew, to learn a ton. Compass callouts and headphones/sound is such a huge factor. PUB is so organic and insane, it really is fun to play and watch.

Alot of people. I hope someone has a gif of the 3 man crew that had to stack up just to take him down.

Oh man, the marketing people sound like they would drive me crazy if that's how loud they are when gb staff are trying to get any work done at their desks.

Fun video. I'm still on the fence about this game, but would like to see more.

Glad I watched this. I've played about 8 hours and even got 2nd place once, but never knew the pro-tip about putting bullets in the gun.

Really gotta watch for muzzle flashes. There were fireworks going off on that hill and yet they were in the dark to their position for like a minute.

That supply drop ambush was pretty fucking sick though.

Please play this every week

Some tips:

1. You can actually fly a lot further if you don't point your dude straight at the ground. Hold the forward key and point your head at the horizon, then pull your chute as late as possible. You can glide over almost 1/3 of the map.
2. Once you're out of the plane, make a note of it's vector and pick an angle that runs perpendicular to it. For example, if your plane is going east to west, you should be heading north/south. Try and put as much distance between yourself and the drop zone as possible - in the first few minutes, cars are more valuable than guns. They will let you explore areas of the map that are inaccessible to the vast majority of the other players who are still on foot, and still get back to the white circle with time to spare.
3. Painkillers/energy drinks heal you back to full health over time.
4. First person is better for indoor combat and looting objects. Third person is better for open world exploration and looking around corners.
5. If you close the doors of a house after you've looted it, other players may think it's fresh and waste their time going through it.
6. Use the noise of artillery strikes/rain/aircraft to mask the sound of your footsteps when you need to creep on a dude.

I really enjoyed the previous Battlegrounds videos, glad to see they are continuing with them as a premium series.

Too bad the chat was out during this, would have loved to see the chat reaction when Dan blew that dude's head off with the shot gun. Amazing stuff.

That training day ending with jeff was great too, Alex's comment made it even better.

I really hope we get a couple more of these before you guys get bored, I love playing it myself, but It's even more fun seeing these videos.

Seeing Dan blow that guy's head off and Jeff's reaction was hilarious - The bit where Jeff dies through the window is hilarious as well! You can tell the guy did a double take and shouted on his voice comms to the rest of the team "There's a guy in there!"

1:15:55 is awesome. Jeff's laugh as he looks down at Alex frantically trying to revive Brad...

I feel like they're running around too much. Those tunnels seemed like a good spot to hole up for a bit. At least until they're outside the zone.

Even after watching the entire video, I'm stilling laughing at Brexit Boy, and not just because I'm a Remainer.

Please do a couple more of these streams, they are great fun to watch.

@knoxt: I really hope they continue to do this, it's cool to see them play together especially in a team based game!

Seeing the date in the video title has me hopeful that they plan to do at least a few more of these. Fun game to play, fun game to watch. Best to get as much out of it as they can while it's hot.
