Liam Neeson was born in Ballymena, Northern Ireland on June 7, 1952. He has been known for many roles, notably the first that brought him into the public consciousness, that of Oskar Schindler from Steven Spielberg's 1993 film Schindler's List, for which he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor. Neeson is also famous from his role of Qui-Gon Jinn in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Ra's al Ghul in Batman Begins and The Dark Knight Rises, and as Irish Republican icon Michael Collins in the 1996 movie named after him. He was also the voice behind the Lion King Aslan in the Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. Some of his more recent roles included playing a tough, dedicated father in Taken, a not so dedicated father as Zeus in Clash of the Titans, Col. John "Hannibal" Smith in the movie version of the A-Team, a guy who punches wolves in The Grey, and Admiral Shane in Battleship.
Liam Neeson voiced the father of the Vault 101 Dweller in Fallout 3, and Ra's Al Ghul in the video game adaptation of Batman Begins.
