Early Life and Career
Anderson was born in Minneapolis Minnesota on the 23rd of Janurary 1950, the first child of four belonging to Stuart Jay Anderson and Jocelyn Rhae Carter.
Anderson began his career in 1976 appearing as Dr. Jeff Webber in the popular TV series General Hospital. Anderson moved on to play MacGyver from 1985 to 1992. This role in particular elevated Anderson to a point where he was easily recognisable by many television audiences. In 1997, Anderson landed the role of Col. Jonathan Jack O'Neill - the lead character in the science fiction series Stargate SG-1.
