Default images being changed to Japanese.

I just did my daily check in clicking on the games section of the wiki and noticed a ton of games are having their default images changes to the Japanese versions. Is there a reason for this or is this just a user doing it on their own? I was under the impression that if the game has a US release that is the one we are supposed to use?
